Gregory A. Gallo

Co-Founder

Greg began his professional career in 1992 in the Financial Services Division of the Audit Group at Ernst & Young LLP. After spending nearly four years at E&Y, Greg moved on to Wall Street to work for a boutique investment bank, first as a financial advisor and subsequently as the firm’s Insider Research Analyst.

With his accounting background, PFS (AICPA’s Personal Financial Specialist) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) credentials, Series 7, 27, 86 and 87 licenses, and both life and health insurance designations, Greg takes pride in his ability to understand an investor’s broad range of financial needs. He has been a guest on Fox Business News as well as quoted in The Wall Street Journal and Worth Magazine.

Greg graduated from The College of New Jersey Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting and completed the Executive Education Retirement Strategy Program at the University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School.

Kevin J. DeRosa

Co-Founder

Kevin J. DeRosa is a consummate financial professional with a wealth of experience and expertise in guiding clients in wealth accumulation.

DeRosa holds series 7, 24, 55, 63 and 87 securities licenses.

Kevin founded The Opus Group in 2004, with his partner Greg Gallo, to focus on the financial lives of high net worth corporate executives and professional athletes. One of those athletes happens to be Kevin’s brother Mark DeRosa, a 16 year Major League Baseball player.

In addition to The Opus Group, Kevin owns a national independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisory firm, which services thousands of retail and institutional customers across the U.S. and abroad.

Kevin is an avid weightlifter, cuban cigar aficionado, and plays guitar. He married his highschool sweetheart and together they have three daughters.

Michael Sheehan

Managing Director

With over a decade of industry experience, Michael leads as a Managing Director at The Opus Group. Michael works with introducing new clients and is involved in the process of developing investment portfolios & strategies. He specializes in individual stocks and secondary/private transactions. Michael studied finance at Fairleigh Dickinson University, completed Foundations of Private Equity and Venture Capital (2022) at Harvard Business School and was invited to attend the exclusive Forbes Under 30 Summit. His success and recognition in his first ten years in the industry are only the beginning, signs of a remarkable and historic career to come. When Michael is not working, you can find him on an Assault Bike or at Barry’s.

Kyle McElligott

Associate

Kyle McElligott is an Associate at The Opus Group. Kyle received his B.A. magna cum laude in business from Rutgers University in 2022. Before The Opus Group, Kyle worked as a representative at a NASDAQ traded bank before it was acquired.

In his free time, Kyle enjoys weightlifting. He resides in Howell, NJ.

Executive Assistant

Alexa is a seasoned executive assistant who brings over 5 years of experience with her. She supports Michael & Kevin with a variety of administrative duties thanks to her detail oriented and articulate skillset. Before stepping into the workplace, Alexa received her bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University. In her free time, you can catch Alexa at her shore house in LBI or running errands in Red Bank.

Mary Marino

Executive Assistant

Mary Marino is the Executive Assistant for Kevin DeRosa & Michael Sheehan. Prior to joining The Opus Group, she was a Fundraising Coordinator at Moelis & Company. Moelis is a global boutique investment bank, that has advised on more than $3.5 trillion in transactions since its inception in 2007. Ms. Marino recently moved back from Manhattan, where she spent the past ten years working in finance. She graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Environmental Science.

Mary enjoys competing in sailing regattas where she skippers 420’s, FJ’s, J27’s, and J95 sailboats. She has been sailing for 25 years, and has coached for Monmouth University, Greenwich High School, and Larchmont Yacht Club. Ms. Marino currently lives in North Long Branch with her dog, Dutch.
